Looks intriguing. It’s definitely going on the list of books to ask my local bookstore to order!

Oh, and depending on the story I recall a C.L. Moore flavor as well.

Yes. I’ve read Gorel And The Pot Bellied God and a couple other Gorel stories. I really liked them. I remember them having an original voice but with echoes of SK’s The Gunslinger, Robert E. Howard, and a dash of Lovecraft.

That was a nice remembrance, Scott. I only interacted with Howard online but he was always a friendly presence.

That one is great too! Although every time I look at the Japanese cover art I keep seeing:
a close up of a gold robot in a dark room looking at the camera
Alt: a close up of C-3PO (Star Wars character) in a dark room looking at the camera

Wow! That’s some cool artwork on those editions. I especially like the one from Poland.

Sounds cool! Who’s publishing it? I love Larson’s art. She’s got such a wonderful style.

Will each podcast be dedicated to one book in the series, or will there be multiple episodes per book?

That’s a cool figurine! And that picture reminds me I still need to read more Kim Newman.

That’s awesome news, Ross! Congrats on continuing to publish Langan and congratulations to Langan for continuing to be published by Word Horde! Here’s hoping the mutually beneficial relationship continues beyond 2026!

My huge TBR tower looms before me, but the clarion call to join the journey to the Dark Tower (for a third time) may be too strong to resist.
