Some think that Trump is a Russian agent. Could he in fact instead be an environmental activist in deep disguise. Yesterday he tried and may have succeeded in driving down global trade and consumption of goods in the US and elsewhere, both of which would benefit the environment.

The signalgate saga reminds me an awful lot of Boris Johnson's birthday cake in the UK during covid. If Johnson had come clean and said, yup I messed up, when first challenged he might have something of a reputation left. Various members of the US government seem determined to make the same error.
