Hypothetical. I'm curious what people think. If the DOGE agency worked on the premise that half of all savings in a federal program were distributed as increased benefits to qualified recipients, would you consider the details ?

You know that you've spent too much time in academia when a professor asks for a 200 word minimum discussion post, and your post ends up being 1250 words with proper in-text citations, a reference section included, and you still don't think it's enough

March 18th was National Public Defense Day/Gideon's Day, in honor of Clarence Earl Gideon whose case cemented the right of an accused person to court appointed counsel, even if you can't afford one, over 60 years ago (Gideon v Wainwright).
