The will to do is building housing. You should drill down on those numbers and understand how about 60% of the numbers you cite are transitional. There are some negligent vacancies to be sure. But I’d love to hear your housing solution. Fortunately we’re already moving in the right direction.

And yet when supply exceeds demand the price of housing drops and consequently the rate of homelessness decreases. Like in all the locales previously mentioned and many more examples if you care to look into it. You can’t house people if there’s not enough housing for people where they want to live.

One nice thing is that YIMBYism is a rocket ship that started from nothing a few years ago and has grown to a point where it’s actually helping people. Truly astonishing for a pessimist such a myself. The Marxist circular firing squad shows no signs of being a threat in my lifetime. Safely ignored.
