We can't do it by ourselves, at least in the present situation. Our media is broken. One political party doesn't have a clear strategy or message. Another is incapable of acting in good faith. The political and legal system is captured by corporate interests. It's not pretty, but its the reality.

As a professional association, if you have members doing shady things, you have an interest in them no longer being members.

I love my kids and my family, but there are many other ways to create meaning. Dunking on people for not having kids is gross.

There's no one answer, but a group that flies under the radar is the '48ers in Europe. Liberalism, especially American liberalism, has forgotten how we got here. If Conservatives across the world are turning away from liberalism, then Progressives need to decide if liberalism is worth fighting for.

It doesn't exist. That's a hard reality to acknowledge, but it's the truth. Private organizations just don't have or give enough to offset the shortfall. Own it and get organized.

It's a thing. We talk too much, myself included. The best I can do is try to be aware of it and laugh at just how hard some of my female colleagues *own* me with their measured, short responses. 🤣
