Like, I have minimal fiction writing experience and have written almost nothing but emails and texts (tweets, chats) for a decade and that's so bad I would have to work to not write something better than that

Yay still employed (and more securely!) but yes does create some anxiety longer-term for sure 💙💙💙

For a few months, it's a smart move that makes my job very secure (whereas flipping the other way would make me highly likely to be laid off, should the company do any RIFs) and is entirely down to a leadership change + the economy. It's just what happens in the spring that has me a bit 😬
