Made of plastic so not breakable. The downside is it only makes one mug of coffee at a time but that does mean keeping it hot isn’t an issue. 😀 Biggest benefit is that it makes a better cup of coffee than any cafetière.

I think because a Crown Court isn't a high enough level so is still open to challenge/appeal

From Carlton's article - Martin Porter KC, joint head of chambers at 2 Temple Gardens, said that although the decision does not set a binding precedent, the judge considered the case with great care “perhaps with an eye to appeal.”

Not sure if it has killed it completely, unfortunately, as my understanding is that the case didn't set a precedent. Definitely an encouraging step in the right direction though.

They have the best steak and ale pie I have ever tasted.

I think your earlier reply has got lost somewhere. It sounded like you were adamant that children were incapable of travelling to school independently regardless of the context or infrastructure provided.

Schools do allow this. Both of my daughters have travelled to school independently from age 9.

That just isn’t true. All the children in my daughters year 4 class (age 8/9) just spent the last 6 weeks walking themselves to school in preparation for their walk to middle school in year 5 when they will still be 9. They are able to do this because there is minimal road danger on their routes.

I’m not even sure how fancy the coloured tarmac is. Most of the dye seems to be attaching itself to my tyres and the sections that have been down longer are noticeably faded compared to the newer parts. 🙄
