And now that you don't have a free state anymore, now what?

I tell my dog how weird he is almost every day, but to be fair he really does do weird and goofy things for attention.

At least the weather is making the dog happy.

He did support the election of this guy... And without getting tricked into it like Jar-Jar.

These, because real cars are built in a dozen different countries. None are only built in one.

Found an incendiary device in my house!

The electricity potentially getting cut off probably doesn't seem so far fetched now. I hate when my pessimistic view is validated.

Even that's a toe dipped in. After that you have zfs, ceph, and more to discover. My home system is this... Which has two 10G and one 1G to each node, one for data, one for ceph, and one for clusters integrity. Plus 40G into a TrueNAS storage system.

Winter ascent of Mt Dix on Sunday/Monday, got 500m from the summit this time before having to turn back due to lack of time and got back home by 4am.

As of now the plan is to ski and summit Mt. Dix this Sunday, if by some miracle the slides are still skiable it should make an interesting day.

I think I still have Return to Brookmere here somewhere.

Some shots from my ski up Whiteface today, including the walk up to the summit. If this was a less developed area it would be quite impressive. You can in fact do this one on Nordic BC gear.

Working my way up Whiteface today. Long sleeve t-shirt weather.

Why would we hate you. Absolutely no reason.

This part isn't pretty, it keeps the strap from rubbing on and wearing away the deck material. Ideally you would have straps trimmed to fit each boot perfectly, at about $80 per set (which is crazy MSR) it's not very appealing to cut them when you need to use AT / double boots and hiking boots.

Going with two clips per-strap seems to be the answer to keeping them in place even when everything gets stiff in the cold. It would be nice if these $500 snowshoes came with the extra few cents in plastic from MSR in the first place.
