If his support cratered, Congress would magically find its spine. Hence, the end of his reign.

Businesses need a stable government, rule of law and a level playing field in order to thrive. Not a place where you have to grovel to the regime and your competitors can pay for favors. No one is going to expand business in US. Instead, businesses will go to other countries with stable democracies.
