What Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya are building right now at Wankhede against RCB is something extraordinary. It boggles my mind how these T20 batters continue to push boundaries of what is achievable every season #IPL

So ODI cricket returns to Pakistan today after 521 days and it brings the last opportunity for Pakistan to give their new combinations a go before the all-important #CT25

Interesting debate around Babar Azam’s batting position for the upcoming #CT25. Perhaps, the assumption that Babar as an opener is a viable option comes after his recent outings at three in the South Africa Tests.

Stunning how Babar and Rizwan have undone all their hard work. The session perfectly mirrors Pakistan’s struggles overseas. They do the hard work, fight it out, but let the opposition get the upper hand in the end

I was talking to an Indian journalist friend a few days back about Rohit Sharma. It inspired me to pen the experience of meeting the Indian captain.

Agha made his Pakistan debut just two years back and has evolved into one of the most reliable operators.

This is one scintillating innings from Saim Ayub so early in his career. Carried the team through collapse and made sure that he keeps the chase alive on a rather tricky pitch. He will grow manifold from this innings.

Pakistan have unlocked an all format top order batter.

Pakistan need to redefine what ‘best batter’ and ‘playing to the situation’ mean.

A batter’s currency is runs and your best batter has to be the one who scores them at a better rate. You cannot keep playing this format (and the sport) on reputation in this day and age.

What was so good about that Kohli dismissal was Boland’s persistence with that outside off-stump line. Persistence pays off in Test cricket. More so with a pink ball under lights #AUSvIND

I think India have allowed easy leaves to the Aussies during that much anticipated twilight period. A bit tighter lines could have resulted in a couple of wickets #AUSvIND

As Abbas Afridi bowls the first maiden of his T20I career, here is a look at his impact - which I feel if often not noticed. No Pakistan bowler - with at least 10 overs since his debut - has bowled at a better average (15.08) or SR(10.7) in the format.

Whenever Zimbabwe have started to look good, they have allowed Pakistan to crawl back into a match with a run out on this tour.

Same has happened today with Marumane’s run out.

Agree on tit-for-tat and let’s get the ball rolling - PCB tells BCCI and ICC

The PCB will not accept hybrid model for #CT2025 and says it has communicated this stance to the ICC on the eve of the world cricket chiefs meeting.

Pakistan reject hybrid model for ICC Champions Trophy amid India impasse
PCB says its cricket teams will not travel to India for any ICC events if India do not play their fixtures in Pakistan.

A potential vote in Friday’s board meeting will hurt PCB’s bid to host #CT2025 in Pakistan in its entirety. The PCB has played hard ball by publicly rejecting any form of hybrid model for the tournament. If they don’t soften their stance, they would find themselves isolated.

Pakistan should be looking to chase this in 22-25 overs. This way they would be actually testing their batting depths.

Chasing this total in 30-35 overs against Zimbabwe is not really a win #ZIMvPAK

Yeah, not a surprise that the run out came off Tayyab Tahir’s throw. He is one of the best fielders in domestic cricket and had similarly constructed a run out against New Zealand in 2022 as a substitute fielder.

Such authoritarian mindset transcends geographical boundaries. Wherever you go, modus operandi remains the same.

Problems aplenty for Pakistan in Bulawayo. Kamran Ghulam looked the most assured batter. His dismissal has left Pakistan in a spot of bother. #ZIMvPAK
