In order of importance, I am a papa, a husband, a dog parent, a songwriter / musician, and a librarian. Other things I enjoy include: motorcycles, darts, swing music, lindy hop, reading, writing, video games, tabletop games / rpgs, and electric cars.
Sorry about your streak! I also failed the Connections today, and found the puzzle to be quite aggravating.

I mean, there are always exceptions to the rule, right? BG3 just did it better, IMO. As a working parent gamer, my time is pretty precious these days. I don't mind that category of game, but it better be done well and made worth my time.

Ah ha, that makes sense. They are squishy enough to sit on top without too much trouble, but I will move them down under the trays. Thanks!

I've been feeling this. A lot. Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, once you've hit 'fatigue' it's hard to climb back out. I can't really change the organization's approach, as the article suggests, so instead I continuously reframe my work, and my approach to my work, to try and find balance.

I have to go with The Expanse, both the books and the show.

That's totally fair. I started some private Discord channels to share wordle and other daily puzzle scores without spamming the world because I realize nobody cares really

But it can't all be doom-scrolling all the time?

I totally feel that, but I think that this post from AOC represents best how I feel about it: bsky.app/profile/aoc....

We should be concerned and fight back, but we can't wallow, and we should still find room for joy (and runs) -- as difficult as that might be.
Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive

Evergreen Library. We've got some other really cool stuff on exhibit right now too, if you make your way out here!
