The roots of canyon live oaks wrapped around the rocks of a steep slope were pretty neat. The bright sky behind made it a little hard to capture.

Looking up at the base of a dark barked trunk of an evergreen oak tree. The tree is on a very steep slope, with many roots showing at the surface and wrapped around pale, yellowish rocks. The bark is ridged and the trunk tall and straight. The crown is not visible but some neighboring branches cross the trunk, all back lit against the sky since the photo is taken from the bottom of the slope. A cement wall topped with chain link is visible at the top of the slope

This image could be intepreted in many ways. But right now, for me, it means that I can do everything "right" (pacing, etc) and yet still crash!

I didn't fail. This endless struggle with PEM is just part of living with ME/CFS.
