I've been busy learning the #Elektron #Digitone II. It's that thing I've missing that I didn't know was missing! I can make rough sketches so much faster than with a DAW!

I wanted a hardware #synth for hands on #SoundDesign, but I'm falling in love with the #sequencer. Parameter locks are everything. I want more tracks, song mode, longer patterns! I think an #Elektron would suit my workflow. Now I see why hardware is a rabbithole.

Donkey Kong on ColecoVision is the first game I remember playing.

Once the reflection was showing in the glass, the rest of the clock was still dark. To light it, I added a softbox behind it on the left, a reflector on the right and another reflector right under the camera.

How I shot this:

To capture a reflection, the intended source has to be well lit. I started by aiming 2 flashes where my face would be. I used hard light just because it was easier to get intense light on my face and control spill without dealing with big modifiers . . .

If I look up from where I'm sitting right now, I can see my collapsible Light Sphere in my bin of photography equipment I rarely use. It did get a lot of use at one point.

I shot this #SelfPortrait for the cover art of a single I'm releasing soon. This was all done in camera - that's my actual reflection. Getting the lighting just right was a pain, but I'm happy with how it came out. I'll post about the process/setup later today.

25 years later, I just learned that GoldWave is still around and being updated. It has multiple undo levels, non-destructive editing, and VST support now!

I'm working on learning the #Arturia #ARP2600 today. Learning that what I thought were labels are really just default routings instantly made it more approachable. Using it with external audio inputs is exciting. So many possibilities.

Oh, It's late! Time flies when you're #MakingMusic. I've been struggling to finish the lyrics for this song, but I finally finished just now and recorded a rough copy.

I'm feeling good. I have two songs ready for release and a 3rd that I just have to mix.
