Weirdo on a bike. IT stuff. Getting old but undeterred.
Interesting--I did not know that, thanks! I'm trying to let vscode guide my hand and make good hygiene choices.

That's interesting as it was definitely in the words but not at all the way I heard it. Maybe that's because I'd seen stats on 80%+ of corp AI projects "failing" already, but I heard it as a call to meaningful endeavors rather than "let's just see what this baby can do". Still hate it, tho.

I literally just got that exact recommendation from a coworker. I'll check it out! Notepad is great, but gets visually confusing at about 200 lines.

Reinvent the wheel, mostly. 🤣 I'm writing a M365 tenant query that gathers anonymized config data to seed a security questionnaire. Most of the tools I've found offer too much specific data and named security principals. My goal is a 10K-foot view for exec review that honors compliance needs.

Day 2 of the PowerShell-ening: Hours of frustration for moments of break-through. I am no coder, but it's starting to take a little bit of shape.

We had a user... probably 25 years ago ask about slowness of some system. The tech responded "network latency", and the venomous screed we got in response was one for the ages.

This feels like a rehash of "latent" & "latency" and buddy sometimes language just changes because the folks making the products aren't linguists and now we have to accept it.

As an old, I explain it like building NT4 trust relationships: identify the desired outcome and build it opposite to that.

Didn't understand the change until I hit 'open with' on an image of my own. Yeesh--need that update STAT!

As a rural VA resident, yes it is. Fiber contractors have been ripping our county apart at break-neck speed this summer to get things in place before the grant money expires. I'd be pissed to find out all of that work would go to waste to feed one rich asshole's ego.

I had a "Diaper Dude" bag. It was great, but I never really felt like a diaper bag was somehow feminizing: I had a baby and needed baby supplies.
