With Matt Reeves saying the Batman 2 villain is tied to Bruce Wayne's past and hasn't been seen yet in movies...that narrows it down a bit if tied to comic stories: Hugo Strange, Hush, Court of Owls, possibly Thomas Wayne (or Jr.), and maybe Doctor Hurt and Zur-En-Arrh.

@gailsimone.bsky.social Reading your M3GAN observations and wondering if you've ever seen Happy Death Day and Happy Death Day 2 U? Also Blumhouse films and I think they are criminally underrated. There is supposedly a third film coming.

I'm excited about the penultimate episode of TLOU Season 2. Some of the most powerful and gut wrenching parts of the TLOU2 story (to me) sound like they will be represented in this episode. May also be the last time we see you know who on screen unless something new is explored.

Seems as if @polygon.com has been sold and many have been laid off. When it opened it was mostly the who's who of gaming writers/journalists out there. Obviously a lot has changed since then, but sad that this situation continues both in gaming journalism and development/studios.

Local story (startribune.com/board-game-c...) about the effects of China tariffs on the board game industry, w/interviews of Atlas Games (once in Roseville I think, now in Duluth), Leder Games (close ties to me, having worked and gone to college w/@patrickleder.bluesky.social) 1/6
Trump’s China tariffs ‘paralyzing’ for Minnesota board game companies
Atlas Games in Duluth and Leder Games in St. Paul both say they need to rely on Chinese manufacturers, and the 145% tariff has them pulling back.

Although unfortunately tied to the Pope's death, I would highly recommend watching Conclave which is evidently available on Prime today. It was previously on Peacock and may still be. I thought it was excellent and may be somewhat similar to how Catholic conclaves actually work.

Forgot to say this yesterday with the Neil Gaiman story in New York Magazine about the ongoing transgressions piling up on him. In Nolan's The Dark Knight, Harvey Dent's quote hits hard here: "you either die a hero or you live long enough to become the villain."

On the positive side they fought well above their weight class this year, think they were projected for 6 wins. Think tendencies caught up with them on both offense and defense in the end though.

All I can say is the Vikings are making the Sam Darnold decision very easy these last 2 weeks.

Well, I think other than inaugural Women's US title winner there will be no movement made anywhere on #SNME. No way Cody loses, but that would be huge if he did.

With this "transfer window" situation in WWE, I expect Smackdown to be gutted. Cody/KO and Gunther/Kaiser will switch shows, OG (Roman/Jimmy) and Temu Bloodline will go to RAW/Netflix. NXT people will go to Smackdown. Smackdown will be WCW Thunder to RAW's WCW Nitro.

So, HHH let it out yesterday that McAfee is coming back full time soon and RAW will be Cole and McAfee again. Are people surprised by this? I think the brand division is going away and also believe Joe, Wade and Corey will be doing Smackdown. SNME also now has its 2nd round on January 25th, 1/2

It may be recency bias, but Superman and Lois was one of, if not, the best TV show about Superman I've watched. So sad it had to end.

Every year normal video game players are getting turned off by The Game Awards, right? I mean, Geoff is a Sony shill and not the journalist he once was. Everyone agrees, right? He followed the money and TGA is honestly no longer relevant. Sites that are still around should 1/3

Believe next test for Netflix Live before RAW starts are the 2 NFL games on Christmas (Chiefs/Steelers and Ravens/Texans). If they can't match the quality that Amazon, Peacock (NBC) and Paramount+ (CBS) puts out for live NFL streaming, WWE should be worried.

Down goes Netflix w/just under minute of Taylor/Serrano left. No idea how it ended. Better up the juice for Tyson/Paul.
November 16, 2024 at 4:14 AM
Over in other place, I said even before 1st date that Tyson/Paul was a test for RAW coming to Netflix in January. Massive failure post-Smackdown as I've restarted several times and don't even have sharp picture in Taylor/Serrano 4th Round.

Networks via streaming seem to be able to do it w/NFL live.
