I will miss the Chrysos Heirs as a cast, they were very lovable but boy was the story messy

There were some exciting bits, namely the Herta section and the battle against Irontomb, but everything else was needlessly dragged out, the plot structure felt very hazardous and the writing is still unjustifiably convoluted. I need to marinate on this a little more but aah 😩

I’m not even sure if I understand what I don’t understand. I think nothing and it’s just the way it’s being told that is taking me out of the story. I will be back with stronger braincells 😤

I do Hope we get to actually ser the Cosmic Alliance battle, sounds like that would be a cool cutscene

Okay unfortunately the part with Nous being unvoiced tired me so I’m going to take a break. 😔

They lost me a little bit by the end of the battle but I think I kind of get what’s going on. Once again, I wish the storytelling was clearer because lol what the heck.

Also I was worried that the Khaslana boss battle was too easy but Irontomb has murdered me three times already lol I love to eat shit 😌

Ok I love the cinematics this patch, in some earlier patches of Amphoreus I didn’t find all of them to be super legible unfortunately, idk if production was rushed or if my eyesight is going bad but so far in 3.7 they are extremely pretty and super hype so love that!!

I remember liking Herta & Cyrene’s parts of the build up but the Traiblazer & the Chrysos Heirs not so much. However I must say now that I’m finally done with that, it seems to all be converging toward something real cool so I’m not complaining too hard so far 😁

Idk how much I remember from where I stopped before the beginning of my crash I’ll be real so if my posts sound very out of it that will be why lmao

Partita especially is truly one of the most memorable NPC they’ve put out, she’s rly not what I expected this story to be about, but I looved her. It’s so heartwrenching how alive the german trenches ended up feeling through their gravekeeper’s eyes. Man they really did not disappoint on this one 💔

In my opinion, Sentinel’s side plot from the main story wasn’t fleshed out the best which unfortunately made some of its themes feel a little underbaked especially at the end, but I’m glad the character stories allowed them to go deeper into the difficult questions behind such extensive barbary.

One of the game’s strength is this idea of trying to capture the thesis of an era through a single patch. I was originally a bit worried about them picking such a sensitive subject for a gacha storyline but I truly think this ended up being a very appropriate and heartfelt tribute to human suffering

I’ve posted about this before but one of the main strength of 3.0, has been the NPC work, and that particular story is especially better for it. They are numerous, they have proper designs, and their individual conflicts truly further the plot we! Love! To! See! It! It’s so rich!

This story is really giving me the haunting feeling I felt Charon sometimes lacked in the main story. It was still there to an extent, but I was surprised at how humanized and even silly he seemed in some interactions.

The slow pace really helps setting up his vibe here I think maybe.
