screenshotting to agree not dunk since her quotes are disabled but; if you're making payment processor calls and you hit this, I think bringing up Game Of Thrones is such a huge brain strategy to throw at a layperson. GoT was HUGE and has all the shit Collective Shout weaponized to start this.

Now is a good time to share this little writeup I did recently.

Don't get it twisted: they are banning hypnosis and other kinks because credit card companies want to put stricter and stricter fences around NSFW content in order to get rid of it completely, and yes, it's political.

Please do yourself a favor and watch the sizzle reel for Kung Fury. I loved the short film when I saw it in 2017, and this movie looks like everything I hoped for and more. The fact it's stuck in legal deadlock with asshole investors is a travesty.

By the way, when we talk about the payment processor hypnosis bans, we should probably stop repeating that it's about chargebacks. Maybe there was a kernel of truth to that 20 years ago, but that's not it now.

It's about politics, and policing/limiting what is acceptable human sexuality.

What I really feel strongly about in hypnosis education is that there are a lot of things that are considered "too advanced" for beginners, but actually they are completely foundational and should be taught as beginner material.

In a chunk of beginner hypnosis models, the "play" happens as post-hypnotic suggestions -- after waking up. But for me, hypnosis is the meat of what I love, so I want the play to happen in trance. Hypnotized people are not unresponsive, and are having lush experiences!

I tried this with o3, pointing it at the blog @phenomenal.ink and asking it to answer a question.
The essay was not "good". But it somehow picked on the two core insights that I am outlining around. Insights that I thought were original and novel but apparently like the next token, I am predictable.

Read this whole thread.
The point I'm making is that categorizing some people as "right" and some people as "wrong," or even some people as "side A" and some people as "side B," can lead to false impressions. And those false impressions can obscure the real issues that divide people.

Yes, I have a modern example in mind.

Hypnotizing someone is about teaching them how to experience trance, and you can't teach that all in one go. Even experienced subjects benefit from approaching hypnosis as a learning experience. You can, will, and should be surprised by trance in 5 or 10 years.

There are two buttons:

I'm cooking.

I'm done cooking.

Prompt: Did you burn down your home? Y/N

N: CONGRATULATIONS!

Y: :(

This week, in addition to regular brainwashing, Jews have to be stringent and really burn stuff away to kasher the brain, to ensure there's no chametz for Pesach.

(Ashkenazim should take care to erase thoughts of kitniyot as well.)
