“I have found the object of my search — my Beloved has taken pity on me. There is One Creator; O Nanak, I do not see any other. Take aim with the Arrow of Truth and shoot down sin. Cherish the words of the Guru’s Mantra, O Nanak, and you shall not suffer in pain.”

They say any publicity is good publicity— if this is true, then CBS and Bari Weiss are having a good week.

To prevent against birth tourism, Canada should look to the Australian and UK models, which require at least one parent to be a citizen or permanent resident for their children to automatically gain citizenship at birth.

This man should be occupying the Big House, not the White House.

Call me cynical, but article after article offering yet another account of Trump’s criminal behaviour, with no tangible consequences in sight, has left me disillusioned—not with the will of the people, but with their power.
“Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election and to prevent the lawful transfer of power…”

Saddened to hear about the antisemitic terror attack in Australia. Unfathomable that a peaceful Hanukkah celebration would turn into something this tragic.

May the Lord have mercy on the victims, grant their families patience, and give us the ability to stand united against hate in all its forms.

Bill C-9 is being promoted as a hate-crime reform, but it weakens protections for religious freedoms in this country.

We need laws that protect people from real hate — without silencing legitimate religious expression.

The thing with bigots is that they are fundamentally unhappy people— unfulfilled in their own lives and blaming their shortcomings on others.

If it’s not “immigrants don’t work enough and contribute nothing”, it’s “immigrants work too much and are taking our jobs”.

Instead of amending their Constitution so as to strengthen the separation of powers & preserve their democracy, Pakistan has instead granted lifelong immunity to the head of the institution responsible for the overthrow of their democratically elected governments.

You can see it in the rollback of the consumer carbon tax, the pause on EV mandates, the shift toward a ‘Buy Canadian’ industrial strategy, and the move toward tax-relief-driven budgeting:

Mark Carney’s Liberal government has officially gone from Progressive Conservative to outright Conservative.

Travel around Toronto and you’ll see signs that read “I support my neighbours in tents”; it shows how the city has repackaged the existence of encampments as some sort of policy victory— as if not housing the unhoused is something to celebrate.

The city must be held accountable for its failures.

What makes the NBA so unwatchable these days? It just isn’t fun to watch anymore. No defense, same 3-point-heavy offense every night, stars sitting out for “load management,” endless reviews and zero real rivalries. Maybe I’m just nostalgic for the good ol’ days, but this sport is missing its soul.

In these moments when I reflect on the passing of deeply flawed individuals, I am reminded of the sin that is in us all and the frailty that unites us all, and leave all judgment to God.

Every soul stands in need of mercy. Forgiveness is the truest legacy we can leave behind.

The Almighty created humankind to cultivate the earth, to get to know one another, and to be good stewards of His creation.

In every leaf and drop, there is a sign of God’s mercy.

To protect the earth is to honour the trust of the Most Merciful; this is part of our divine test.

“One of the main causes is shrinking vaccination rates, which have allowed measles to spread more easily. If measles can make a comeback, infectious disease specialists warn Canada is fertile ground for other deadly childhood diseases, such as mumps, diphtheria and polio.”

I still have love for Bill Burr. But it was a poor decision and lack of judgement to go to Saudi Comedy festival.

In his own words, Bill tells us that the Saudis said he can joke about anything… just not religion or the Royals.

The Royals.

The very concept that comedy should be targeting.

October 7 was a wound upon our shared humanity. The massacre in Israel was an act of cruelty that no just cause can redeem. And the suffering that followed in Gaza has become a wound upon that same conscience.

An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind; violence cannot heal violence.

100%

Average human reaction time is 1.5s. At that rate, a 1-2s glance could mean driving blind for 20+ metres. That’s more than the length of a bus. Lots of opportunity to miss reacting to a dog, a child, or another car.

I promise you: nothing on your phone is worth gambling away a life.
Stop glancing at your phone while driving.

Every glance is a roll of the dice. What are you going to miss in those 2 seconds? Maybe nothing, but you are risking lives. Yours and others.

One glance down you miss a dog , a car, a person.

Please. Stop gambling a hundred times every time you drive

Gandhi— a Hindu humanist— saw faith as a call to serve all humanity through truth and nonviolence.

Modi— a Hindu nationalist— wields faith as an identity marker, narrowing it into power and exclusion.

Which way, Hindu man?

The way of open doors & dignity? or the way of building walls of division?

From a Gandhian lens, the path to peace in Israel and Palestine cannot be built on domination or retaliation, but on truth, nonviolence & recognition of shared humanity. Lasting justice comes when dignity is restored to all, and when courage is shown not in force, but in restraint. ✊🏽🇮🇱🇵🇸
