I grew a pumpkin! We have a lot of different varieties growing, actually. But this one is identifiable as a pumpkin rather than an green ping pong ball. I'm so excited!

The weekend's tomato haul became 7 pints of salsa, & 3 of the extra salsa juice to add to recipes. Tonight was 2 hours of cleaning up the garden bed and even after having 2 other garden member's take their fill, we still brought all these home. #gardening #gardeningasresistance #homesteading

28 years of trouble with this knee (upper right medial pain/burning). This is the first time a injury/pain/weakness cycle has lasted this long (day 16). I've had a couple of cane and/or brace free days. But I'm also not sleeping from pain and it sucks. MRI is Tues morning. #kneepain #mcl

The only thing I've ever sewn (except a pencil case in home ec) was masks during covid. So. Many. Masks. Tonight I got out my sewing machine from the box it's been in for 2 yrs. No patterns. Just vibes. It's far from perfect, but she loves it. #sewing #toddlerkaftan

I got myself a #mp3player as a #birthdaypresent. A little #treatyoself kind of gift. I spent hours converting youtube vids to mp3, formatting the files so they would sort by artist and title on here, and getting it all loaded. Y'all did we really do this for days at a time on #dialup and #napster?

This is 41. No filters. No make up. I'm at work, tired, and sitting in training while also trying to figure out how to get music onto my mp3 player I got myself for my #birthday. Also, why does my brain keep thinking I'm 42 today? That's next year, boo.

I slipped on the treadmill. Knee had a loud pop. Can't put weight on it without lots of pain. X-ray clear. So it's a brace, crutches, and follow up with ortho if needed in a week. I've been doing so good with walking and being more active. Oops.

A local tattoo shop had a $13 flash sale for Friday the 13th to let their apprentice get some time in tattooing. Hubs got the same ghost on his arm and our oldest son got a Japanese lucky cat.

It's been a good weekend. Prom for the oldest daughter, back carries for the youngest, time outside with the chickens and ducklings, and not pictured is getting our raised bed at the community garden planted.

#Officeredo progress. The room itself is still trashed. BUT this is a start. A wider bookcase that is arriving this week will go between these 2 to hold more collectibles, books, candles, etc. And a painting above my monitor. I need fairy lights to light those shelves, too.

Doing a quick #homeoffice refresh before I return to work next Monday. #Paint turned all of the walls a lovely purple-y color. Waiting for furniture & accessories to finish the look.

Tonight I got to enjoy some #90sCountry in the form of a Pam Tillis concert. Sometimes living in a rural community that has concerts after the annual Farm Show pays off. My mama and I loved getting to see one of our favorites!

Church, visiting Dad, a stop at the cemetery to clean my besties headstone and tell him and his mama hi, then some thrifting and picking up Dad’s cat that is he got from us who is ours again. Now we’re on the 4.5 hr journey home. Long weekend, but so glad we got to do this.

Church, visiting Dad, a stop at the cemetery to clean my besties headstone and tell him and his mama hi, then some thrifting and picking up Dad’s cat that is he got from us who is ours again. Now we’re on the 4.5 hr journey home. Long weekend, but so glad we got to do this.
My 19 and 14 yo kids were just roasting me about this last night. Little assholes. LOL
