The people that sat in those chairs are all still part of my holiday celebration. They are in the food I choose for the meal, in how I cook it, and even what time I eat it. They are what made all my traditions. By celebrating my traditions, even alone, I am celebrating them too.

We feel like we don’t have anything to celebrate or maybe feel guilty for celebrating without them. As someone whose chairs are all empty now at the holiday table, except for mine of course, I have decided to embrace my empty chairs.

Mine too. He never had voted for a dem president tcandidate until 2016 when he voted for HRC.
