Christie / GAD nerd and TV producer. Profile pic is probably the book I’m currently reading. Described both as “wonderfully niche” and “a good human”. Kingston to Bristol via Hanwell.
Money Man Champagne Explosion Car Skull is literally one of favourite books.

To be fair, if cooking instructions were presented in a form that was somehow a collaboration of De La Soul and Teenage Fanclub, I think we’d all remember them.

My son has ploughed through a lot of those same books. And, if it’s any help to you, he’s got the Wings Of Fire graphic novels on his Christmas list this year.

I appear to be a college lecturer now. I’m not quite sure how that happened.

The sofa that’s just through that doorway behind you is exceedingly comfortable. I know this from many, many Saturday afternoons spent with my son while he’s trying to decide on a book.

Yep, I caught the “dangerman” too. Lovely example.

My son’s school library was named the best primary school library in the country. Also, I got a new job. But mainly the library thing.

I actually worked in the garage but was seconded to the main shop for a few days to cover some holidays. We didn’t have security buttons in the garage, just a hammer under the counter.

I remember how exciting things were as a kid that were free or had been acquired for free somehow. The posters on my wall (reproduced below) were ones given away with offers on crisp packets or in jigsaws. And now my son has posters from bookshop giveaways or signing events.

I worked at motorway services once. Spotted 2 little red buttons under the till. Pressed them. Pressed them again. Nothing happened. Thought nothing of it. Five minutes later I looked out of the window and wondered why 6 police cars were screaming to a halt in the car park.

Took my son to a family play about Greek Myths yesterday which included an extended reference to the film So I Married An Axe Murderer. Brilliant stuff.
