If I am wrong, you are right to let me know. Haha. It's definitely sad to see local news coverage become marginalised for national news, especially when so much of it on the Reach ones is designed to either anger or feed the negative doom cycle.

Ah, fair enough. Maybe it's just up here where all the local papers got moved online and then became '(insert town/area name) Live' under the Reach banner.

I'd say 99% of regional websites are under Reach ownership these days, especially English ones. The majority share national news with a few bits here and there specific to each region. They've had a lot of job cuts recently so they are largely copy and paste jobs.

To be honest, I heard quite a few things about him behind the scenes. He was a big smoker, not a great trainer. Maybe it was an ego thing but he did turn it around towards the end and is probably the reason why he kept pushing for playing time above everything else.

True. And regardless of the numbers and varying levels of success Sir Harry enjoyed on loan, I bet he values those spells elsewhere as being key to his development – probably on and off the pitch. Footballers gotta play football klaxon. Ha.

Troy should absolutely concentrate on his development & getting regular minutes. He isn't the finished article but has a better chance of becoming it if he doesn't spend time sitting on the bench - anywhere.

But yes, I would love Parrott to develop to the point he *could* become a starter at Spurs.

That happiness seeing an academy graduate succeed on the international stage might have leaked into "what if" scenarios for some, sure. Yet it's easy to see why:

1) Our strikers haven't established themselves for varying reasons

2) It isn't wild to suggest he'd be a viable option *right now*

Parrott has clearly developed well in the Netherlands. You can question the league's quality if you want but 6 goals in 7 games and 7 in 5 for Ireland (a really poor team) are – at worst – solid numbers.

People are happy for Troy because his talent wasn't ever in question, only his attitude.

Let's make it happen.

Troy the boy has been absolutely fantastic over the last two games.

Let's just knock it down and start again. Same goes for most UK governments during my lifetime.

Admittedly it's just the shortened version but that seems harsh on Joao who has done the job asked of him? Arguably above and beyond.

Honestly.
