When you lose a mercenary on an expedition, you'll now keep some of their gear. So next time you meet a new merc, you can re-gear quicker.

After hitting a wall with my game not looking any "better" for a few months, it's amazing what a new UI does!

Good graphics are so easily let down by awful UI...

From my last playtest I got this from a friend... Very few things motivate me more than little things like this.

Theres still time to jump into the current playtest round if you're keen.

Im sure that you can make an interesting and nuanced RPG based around interesting and unique fantasy themes, but I'm a simple man.

My game has people in armour with swords, killing goblins...

Sometimes they're classics for a reason.

Indie devs, is it worth having a trailer for my demo specifically or just settling with an older announcement trailer?

Finally got round to building the hub town for my roguelike's meta progression.

‪I spent ages wondering what was missing from my new expedition map that I painstakingly developed...

After a few weeks I realised that I had sprite shadows off...

Boy does gamedev sometimes make me feel like a moron.

Back from a week away, and I forgot everything i was halfway through developing... Week-ago me is an idiot and today me hates him.

My least favourite part of solo development is going away for a holiday and feeling guilty for taking time away from my game...

I'm finally getting round to implementing the meta progression of my Roguelike because I wanted the core loop to be able to hold its own without it.

Question: What Roguelike do you think had the best meta progression that didn't trivialize the game over time...

Before we got started in game dev, we both thought save games were just... like... some sort of snapshot of the game state? Like maybe there was a standard way to do this? Apparently, for every game you kinda just make up the save/load structure as you go.

I've been writing a script about Developer Blindness and why we NEED players to see our games and point out the things we miss.

Any devs out there with good observations on the simple things that they missed that they needed a player to point out like it was obvious?

My favourite part of solo development is adding some ridiculous scope creep to my list and hoping that someone else does it for me...

Nintendo has patented yet another game function. Groundbreaking stuff.

Someone please, for the love of god, patent “Being a complete cunt and gatekeeping game ideas that should belong to everyone”.

The catch 22 of enjoying game dev is that there are games I WANT to play but it feels like a waste of my time when I could be developing instead of playing...

Not sure my brain can compute this
