The big ugly bill is a disgrace. It makes sure the rich stay rich, while cutting our health care and raising our costs.

On the #BetterInAUnion bus tour, @afscme.bsky.social is making sure the politicians who voted for this anti-worker bill knows how it will hurt the people they serve.
Perry: Absolutely disgraces me. I’m one of those people it’s going to cost $1,200 more. For what? To give billionaires another $13,000 they don’t need or deserve? Absolutely not. My message to Scott Perry is this: you really need to take care of the people who voted you in to begin with.

Heat deaths and illness are rising, yet we STILL lack a national workplace heat safety standard. That’s why AFSCME is fighting to pass the Asunción Valdivia Heat Illness, Injury and Fatality Prevention Act. www.smartcitiesdive.com/news/bill-se...
Bill seeks to fill federal void on heat protection for public workers
Proposed legislation backed by AFSCME and other major unions could raise the bar for how cities protect municipal workers from rising temperatures.

Our campaign to stop this terrible bill goes back to the U.S. House of Representatives. Same number, same message. Call your member of Congress at 202-559-1165 and to demand NO CUTS to Medicaid and public services to fund tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy!

We are deeply disappointed the Senate passed a dangerous budget that guts health care, slashes food aid, and raises costs for working families — just to hand billionaires more tax breaks. Now the bill goes back to the House.

Tell them: VOTE NO www.afscme.org/press/releas...

The budget would RAISE COSTS on the poorest by $1,600 a year to boost incomes of the ultra-rich. Meanwhile, nearly 40% of American can't even afford a $400 emergency expense right now.

Tell Congress to vote against this billionaire budget scam!
New analysis from the Congressional Budget Office on the distributional impacts of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. After the tax cuts, spending cuts and other impacts, average household resources will decline for the lowest earners and rise substantially for the highest earners.
