Kwasi is a masculine Akan day name for a child born on a Sunday.

The Baoulé name, Kouassi, in orange, is actually given to a child born on a Monday. This is due to historical factors related to their separation from the Asantes.

The cool thing about exploring African languages is that you notice the Igbo word, Na, and the Twi word, Na, serve the same function.
That the Igbo word, Nwa, and the TshiVenda word, Ṅwana, mean the same thing, even though those languages are absolutely unrelated to each other.

Enjoy your favorite beverage in our mug while you ponder abandoning everything, for a day at the beach!

PS: Languages featured are Twi and Kiswahili and both translate to, “Let’s go to the beach”
