My mum, having come all the way to Vancouver from Ireland to visit me, decided the best use of her time was to weed the garden.

Watching a roller derby game right now, first one ever. I don’t know why I thought it would be more violent.

Lots of shoving and people falling over humorously. Can’t ask for more than that.

I’ve been busy making dice bags and now I have a collection and I can stack them up like Lego
A small drawstring bag with dozens of little crocheted scales sitting on a windowsill because I have no ability or space to take good photos. It’s green, teal, and white and looks like the worlds most unhinged pineapple A similar bag on the same windowsill, but made in red, purple and blue because I was trying for a whole gradient thing and I’m not sure it worked tbh A stack of the bags on the windowsill and they legit can sit on top of each other, open, without collapsing even while empty because I take structural integrity seriously dammit

And there is a little cream coloured bead on the drawstring because again that’s all I had and we’re working with limited materials here Another bag (I have SO MANY) but this one is in blue and gray and has a shiny black bead. And the cotton is softer and less shiny. Because I have a large quantity of it. Are you seeing the pattern here yet. A photo of a whole bunch of the bags, all open and stacked on top of each other. Fun fact: the cotton is stiff enough that you can stack them 3 high and they keep their shape and won’t fall over! Do not ask how much I giggled while I was making these towers of cute little bags.

This scarf is called “15 Stitches”.

The squares are arranged from smallest, which was about 1.5” in size, up to about 5in. Yes, it was an absolute pain in the bollocks to knit a square 15 stitches across at that size, and I used 1mm needles and stabbed myself a few times. Cannot recommend. The scarf looks pretty cool though, it has a kind of visual effect where the end with the smallest squares looks bigger than the end with the biggest squares. Like reverse perspective or whatever. Honestly I’m just glad it’s done and it’s pretty fun to wear.
