Apparently it’s #CTDappreciationDay so here’s an old pic from 25 years(!) ago on Lake Tanganyika as part of the #NyanzaProject. Fantastic experience that summer. I miss fieldwork more than I can adequately express.

By the way, the writing retreat was awesome. Highly recommend spending time in the mountains with fascinating new friends and being empowered to write. I even read aloud at a local book store. Stretching my comfort zone felt amazing.

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Six at the National last night. Our waiter expressed fear at what the future might bring for their restaurant which relies heavily on the federal employees and the theater district crowd.

Made deviled eggs and roasted veggies this morning for the big meal. Working on hour 5 of food coma.
