Spent around 4 hours going down a rabbit hole to get Linux VR working. Then spent 5 minutes giving up, and then stumbling upon the answer thanks to someone on Discord. Great day.

Reminder: When companies like Milan Digital Audio refuse to provide their customers with access to the installation files you paid for; it's always morally right to just pirate the current version. Fuck these companies.

Six out of seven sessions of daily workout complete. Tomorrow will be the last before I start the second week. So far, I have burned 1,937 calories from just workout alone. Also, did two 60 second planks today. Didn't think I had it in me.

Wrote a thing today about my current mental and physical health. It's a bit dark at the start. CW: Alcoholism, depression. It ends on a very bright note. I am in a very good place right now.

New medication is actually making me want to be somewhat social for once. Starting to actually balance out my social anxiety. I still have work to do on that, but I don't fear talking to anyone anymore.

Playing Earthbound for the first time ever in 2025 is fascinating, actually. You're just a kid and the world's gone mad. All the adults are useless at best or trying to kill you at worst. Everyone talks like a crazy person. Everything's too expensive. Your next door neighbor wants to be a dictator.

There’s a free application, shutup10++, that lets you disable all the shitty windows stuff with a series of checkboxes.
It even tracks if windows rolls anything back between updates and lets you reverse the changes with a click.
I can personally recommend shutup10++ if you need to stick with windows
This is the future of Windows. Microsoft wants to rewrite Windows to turn computers into AI PCs that you talk to. It's now bringing AI features to all Windows 11 PCs today, in a bid to convince you to talk to your PC and let AI control it. Full details 👇 www.theverge.com/news/799768/...

While my anxiety has SIGNIFICANTLY improved, my sleep is so hit and miss right now. I slept from 8:30 PM to 3:00 AM. Good quality sleep, but couldn't get back to sleep. Now I need to work from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Going to be a few cups of coffee in my future.

Major evolution in the GZDoom community tonight - the regular contributors finally had enough of the project lead, who had been very hard to work with for a long time. He dug in and told them "If you don't like it, go and make your own fork."

UZDoom is now live here.

My only exposure to Windows right now is at work, and dear lord is it a constant annoyance. Taking a screenshot is so inconsistent. Print screen works half the time. Ctrl + Shift + S now brings up some speech assistant, but sometimes also still manages to pull up snipping tool.

Wow. They canceled Legends Ho-oh and Lugia. Would've been targeted for last year. Seeing this from the leak amongst a bunch other stuff.

Nintendo must not like money. I have a feeling this would've done better than what we've seen so far from Z-A.

So it seems this ViralDRM company threatens lawsuits against creators without making any attempt to see if the content was used as Fair Use. Seems like they are going to damage the reputations of a lot of their customers. That's embarrassing.

I feel like anyone associating with Brad Arnold or Reed Timmer moving forward should be vary wary of them no matter how this plays out. Abusing Copyright law is no joke. It's inexcusable even the first time. That includes Ryan Hall.

So I have been struggling with my anxiety for a considerable amount of time. Finally saw a doctor about it yesterday. Got prescribed two medications. One for the anxiety, and one for what we thought could be the bigger problem; sleep. Well, I had my first sleep on it. Have I just not been sleeping?
