Today's outing at Hidcote Gardens.

It is crazy warm in the South West right now, so of course there are even more blossom photos.

Spring is happening! It's happening right here and now! Four decades on this earth and the passing of time and the rotation of the planet are still fascinating.

So this will be my fourth attempt to post this and I didn't save my post text anywhere. Instead, if this works you can guess where I went this time!

Reinstalled #skyrim yesterday and a long list of mods, and am continuing to indulge in #holotaco nail polish. Not that I'm intentionally throwing myself into little comforting hobbies to keep the world at bay or anything.

Fantastic chicken karaage at Maneki Ramen in Worcester today, and a low-budget British horror sci-fi for the evening. Happy Imbolc everyone 😊

When you realise you've accidentally colour-matched your nail polish to your duvet 😅 oh well, at least I'm enjoying my nails not breaking this week. Oat Couture #holotaco.

Keeping some cheer in the day with fancy nail polish. I do love me some #holotaco.

As I sleep on a mattress in the spare room with no bedside lamp, squashed between my sewing table on one side and fabric rolls on the other, waiting for the skirting boards in the bedroom to dry, I cannot bring myself to regret purchasing an ominous duck night light.

The fog lifted for long enough to see a little ways down the Avon at Tewkesbury. Water sure is high, there and in the fields around Norton. #tewkesbury is always beautiful to me, whatever the time of year or the weather.

Those of you in colder climes, hope you are wrapped up warm tonight. I got straight under my duvet after I finished work today.

First day back at work today, and the Critical Mass exhibition by Antony Gormley that I visited at the start of last year resonates once more.

Today's view, slumped somewhat awkwardly on the sofa trying to get my aching joints comfortable. Surrounding myself with #houseplants is the silver lining, but I do wish someone could tell me why my adenium obesum cycle between growing leaves, going crispy, and immediately dropping them again.

Hocus Pocus is 80p on Steam right now. How could I not?

My coffee arrived before the post stops for Christmas 🥳
I set up a nice picture with the box and bags because it makes me happy 😊

Any #houseplant and #strelitzia people got advice for me? I've got a flower bud for the first time, but it's just sitting there for a couple of weeks. Bit of nectar beading on one side but it's not opening. Do I wait or has it got stuck and do I need yo intervene?

I regret nothing.

Recently posted some succulents from last winter, thought I should show them today. They don't stay neat and tiny forever, but when the original plant gets too old it will start to make pups or try and fall over so the old leaves can make new plants. I love growing new plants this way. #houseplants

It's definitely an indoor day. It's not as windy here as some places but official advice is to avoid going out if you can. I'm following this very strictly, having not got up at all yet. My other half got up to bring me coffee in bed, which was a sacrifice I was willing for them to make.

Yule tree up, first presents arrived today 😊 I did consider putting decorations on the Ficus Tineke, which is now 5ft tall, but decided not to risk upsetting it. #houseplants.

Last winter we were lucky enough to get time off and visit Paris. This chilled out fella was at Parc Zoologique, which prioritises animal welfare & conservation. Their accessibility was also very good. Unfortunately we're covering the holidays at work this year, but I hope Iggy is still relaxing.

I'm not generally a fan of reposting but this one was just too good.

My drosera flowered this year. The strelitzia is also looking like it's making a flower spike! Fingers crossed.

#houseplants from last winter that are still doing well. A couple of ctenanthe did not enjoy the cold snap this year - my bathroom got too cold overnight and they look really limp. Taking solace in my other plants and their continued survival.
