horror nerd, cinephile and aspiring author from Romania with any pronouns. I like stuff that packs a punch and makes me think.
#WriteSky me while I'm trying to focus on an unrelated task: figuring out the perfect way to move the plot forward, coming up with witty banter, emotional scenes, fun character moments, lush descriptions
me as soon as I open Word to write all that down:

Hey, look at this vintage Hungarian cover for Dracula - it's one of my favorite editions of this book. He's just kind of standing there. (This is an alternate version of a 1925 cover drawn by Tibor Gönczi-Gebhardt.)

currently reading: the audiobook of Frankenstein, narrated by Dan Stevens. I highly recommend this one. Mr. Stevens is a very skilled narrator, whose reading of each character's voice is full of life and emotion. it's a very atmospheric edition of one of my favorite novels. #BookSky

recommended reading: The Red Tree by Caitlín R. Kiernan. an unflinching character study about toxic lesbian relationships and self-destructive people, with haunting imagery and a dash of cosmic horror. one of my favorite books and favorite protagonists ever. #booksky

currently reading The Venus Complex by Barbie Wilde. it's a powerful, horrible, skin-crawling masterpiece. as a very jaded horror reader, it's always great to find a book that manages to burrow under my skin and into my brain. #booksky
