It's impressive, but the 1812 Overture uses real cannon fire and church bells.

I know it's much better to let the loaf cool completely before cutting into it, but the temptation is strong.

I found a recent corporate compliance training particularly ironic. The slide in question was stressing the importance of carefully reviewing any AI generated content before including it in work products. That slide, and others in the training, included background images with bad AI artifacts.

I've been in the same tech sector job for 12 years, now. In that time, my group has been part of six different companies through various mergers and spin-offs. The weirdest was when we were stashed under a zombie British corp that originally made soap and candles in the 19th century.

But how old is EdExCo? You could claim direct lineage...

I think I'd want to call the parks department to ask which Wednesdays are the alternate ones. It's good to check to stay in compliance.

I think many of us are willing to entertain it being very soon, indeed.

So, we now know that it was a bucket full of imprudence.

A bucket of what, exactly?

"Immediate" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence.

Rhode Island was no moral beacon on slavery, though. About 70% of the Atlantic slave trade was through Newport. And even after that shut down and slavery ended in the North, a big part of the textile industry in RI was making low quality clothing sold to the south for slaves.

It always seemed weird to me that we consider July 1776 the start of the war, when it was already over in Mass by March 1776.

If you contact the showrunner to find out what would have happened in a future season, I think you can truthfully answer that question as "I found the story compelling, and got rather invested in the outcome."

Lovely! Makes me want to explore more with QGIS. One thing I noticed was that most towns are labeled with small cap block letters, but a few (e.g. Jamestown, New Shorham, Providence) are labeled with cursive. Was a stylistic choice, or some quirk of the OSSM data?

"As explained elsewhere, the quiet action, for some obscure reason, is not popular with typists. Theoretically, they should be pleased to operate in complete silence. In practice, typists like to hear the noise of their machines..." We see this in mechanical switch keyboards that make click noises.

This foiling electric ekranoplan is being developed nearby, and full size prototypes have been seen on the bay.

I had been pleased with your holding strong on the No front here. And then you do this... Imagine if the patriots had said well, we have internal differences with Benedict Arnold, but as soon as we move past his betrayal, we'll be able to work together against the British. Get rid of Schumer!

The problem with cats is the language barrier. No matter how many times you explain that to her, she'll never really understand. I realize that explaining it to her is part of my coping mechanism, and not an effective way to change the situation, alas.

Couldn't really say. After plugging in my car at home, I do go inside, and, at the end of the month, pay the electric bill, which might cover charges from almost two months prior. On road trips, there's generally no cash option for DC fast charging. I mostly ignore gas stations these days.
