I understood her whole deal when she suggested Dan Brown for the Louvre heist. You can just tell some people ain’t got the firepower.

I guess I’m from a Wikipedia family. Doesn’t feel like that at all these days but it sure used to.

How can you tell the difference? Honestly? Frum and Brooks have never been even sub mediocre. Shockingly bad writers and worse thinkers.

How powerful is your conservative-skill electron microscope?

Can you see Bret Stephens’ talent with it?

No he’s just disagreeing with Geoff. Neither Geoff nor Brian need people to defend them but I don’t get what you’re going for here. You can just disagree with Brian.

Here's the good stuff: trails 10 miles or more away from a road - github.com/aepton/backc...

Almost nothing. 14 trails, per the stats (github.com/aepton/backc...).

Literally nothing once you start looking for 25 miles remote: github.com/aepton/backc...

Here's the classic definition, at 5 miles: github.com/aepton/backc...

It's really sparse - surprisingly so, to me, but it seems to check out. Roads are just... everywhere.

You can see in the rankings (github.com/aepton/backc...) that only 15 trails in WA spend 10+ miles that deep in the wilderness

For instance, github.com/aepton/backc... - all trails 1 mile or more away from a road. Lots of ink in places you'd expect - national parks, forests - and none anywhere close to a big city. The remoter corners of the state (literally) are well-represented. I'd love to hike some of those island trails
