Actually that one was at least *somewhat* accurate in its use of tools, inasmuch as I think that *was* a real SGI file system UI. And then at another point in the movie they were watching something that was supposedly a live video feed but you could see the QuickTime Player timeline on screen…

As opposed to “This is a UNIX system! I know this!” Followed by use of an experimental SGI file system UI that might have made it into one commercial product very briefly… (Jurassic Park, 1993)

As I recall, one of the big things about that show was their insane attention to detail around nearly all of the technology, down to the level of the specific tools being used by characters for various types of hacking

I've run out of ways to say that this is bad. At this point my only hope is that his attempts to become a lifetime president fail, and we're able to replace him with a sane non-criminal in 2028 and we can start to undo all this. But the damage has been done.
