but hey, at least the air quality regulator that issued Tesla more than 90 notices of violation of the Clean Air Act last year did get the company to agree to a stipulation reading "It is not unreasonable to require Tesla to comply with District rules and regulations"

insanely pathetic shit!

Russia ain't making it to Alaska. Russia escalating means they are flailing at home & the Ukraine. Russia is on the brink. It's tricky, months? More likely weeks. They will try to go BIG.

Will? That shipped has sailed. Watch how our allies talk about Trump. They have developed a legal case against Trump. It's apparent in their comments in foreign press around the world. Sides have been picked.

An organizer from CASA whose name i did not catch spoke about the way ICE is ravaging her community. A man detained on his way to a dialysis treatment. Her own nephew in ICE custody: they do not know where he is. Her voice is full of emotion; I don't know how she held it together

Next up: Free DC chair Keya Chatterjee. She acknowledges that there's a chance there won't be a transfer of power post-election

Nevertheless, she says, we can and will win. We will use our power as jurors, consumers and workers

Make the attacks "difficult and costly, everyday and everywhere"

Rev Kieth Burns gave a firey sermon on Trump's "violations of justice and compassion." God, he declares, is not pleased! And yet, this struggle has brought the community together and shone a spotlight on DC's status

Afterwards, we heard from the first Black female mayor of DC: Sharon Pratt. She linked our current crisis with the Declaration of Independence, signed almost 250 years ago, which she correctly describes as an act of treason. The Free DC movement is a continuation of that tradition

There's a stage with a sound system set up here and a woman tells us in both English and Spanish to be sure we hydrate. It's good advice

There's gonna be some speeches but while we wait I have some thoughts

"peaceful protests don't do anything" I hear some of you saying. They show the world that the people are not OK with what is happening. Trump does not have some overwhelming mandate

And thousands of people are getting used to saying no, loudly, on a Saturday afternoon
