Esim. tässä todetaan, että juuri näin #velkajarru
toimi Saksassa. Eikä vain siirtymän vaan kaikkiin sijoituksiin.

Pääomakanta on kohta rikkaiden maiden heikoimpia.

Velkajarru oli "probably the worst fiscal rule by any government anywhere" ja "fiscal doomsday machine."

I draw examples from ecological activism to show how disruptive acts and expert knowledge is used together to change how the world is perceived, antagonism brought to surface, equality enacted and the constitution of the public reimagined.

Specifically, I argue that bringing thinkers like Mouffe and Rancière to bear on the questions of democratic expertise adds an important perspective to the existing literature, while at the same time prompting us to revamp radical democratic theory itself, moving beyond the critique of technocracy.

Hopefully there is still time to correct the course and that @tieteentekijat.bsky.social and @sivista.bsky.social and @professoriliitto.bsky.social etc. are doing their best to avoid the most catastrophic outcome.

Mea culpa to international colleagues for the unrealistic rosy picture I provided. /3

This is infuriatingly shortsighted, and in many ways contradicts their own programme – not to mention ambitions relating to societal security and democratic self-governance. It also bears uncanny family resemblance (as watered down version, of course) to the attacks on academic freedom globally. /2
