It’s been a week! But I’m grateful to be back home on this beautiful fall day. Here’s a recap of what’s been going on, what it means for our country and our communities and why it’s so important to stay plugged in and focused on the work ahead ⬇️

Moments ago, the Epstein Petition passed the Senate. It now goes to the President’s desk.

This is just the beginning of justice for the survivors. 🙏

Oversight Democrats have been fighting to release the Epstein files for months.

Trump has the power to release the files, today.

Ranking Members @robertgarcia.house.gov and @repsummerlee.bsky.social say release the files, NOW.

As my GOP colleagues contemplate whether or not to vote to release the Epstein Files tomorrow, remember:

1. History is watching.
2. Trump is named over 1,600 times in the docs we received from the estate last week.

If you think this is the end, this is just the beginning.

Promising a vote is not a deal. What we need is real solutions on the table to address the healthcare and affordability crisis. If we can get four Republicans to sign on to the Epstein Discharge Petition, I hope we can get AT LEAST four to commit to fixing healthcare. Let’s get to work!

The survivors and their lawyers have been clear—follow the money.

That is why the next set of subpoenas coming out of the @oversightdemocrats.house.gov must be the financial records involving Jeffrey Epstein.

We are leaving no stone unturned in this case.

This does not sit well for the American people. Our gut is telling us something is wrong here.

The question comes up over and over again: if there’s nothing to hide, then why is the President engaged in such a clear cover up and pressure campaign of Members of Congress?

Let me be clear about what this case is & why its cover up is so disturbing. The President is engaged in a direct cover up of crimes.

What I take from his efforts is a desperate attempt to bend the law & the truth—even if that means turning on other members of his own party.

Release the files.

This shutdown was completely avoidable—and the only ones who lost were the American people.

Families, children, and our federal workers should never be used as bargaining chips.

We need leaders who will come to the table and work for the American people. It’s time to get back to work!

For more than 54 days the House has been closed—no votes, no hearings, no negotiations, and for most of our GOP colleagues no where to be found.

And, where were they last night on our first night back? ⬇️

As we close out the day, I want to give a special shout-out to Colonel Susana Corona!

Colonel Corona has proudly served in the military for 29 years—and has led with courage and integrity. She embodies the very best of who we are.

We are wishing you a joyful retirement—and a Happy Veterans Day!

The White House and GOP must stop playing games with American lives.

While we need to reopen the government—until they come to the table with real solutions in legislation to solve the healthcare crisis they created—we’ll be right back here in a couple of months. That is why I’m voting “no.”

Every Veterans Day, I think of my three brothers who served in the military. And I think of all the service members & families who have sacrificed so much.

As a country, we must back our gratitude to veterans with meaningful action that supports them—both during & after service.
