Next up at the Aster: Mr. Sam! It’s a rare treat to see this massively talented songwriter and gorgeous vocalist from New Orleans, so if you missed him tonight, do yourself a favor and go see him TOMORROW at Palmer’s!

I cried 3 times—but it was the good kind of crying and I feel rejuvenated.

First up at the Aster, one of the warmest and coziest venues in Minneapolis: Michael Gay! This local artist tells homey, thoughtful and evocative stories about life that are both comforting and thought provoking. A perfect match for the venue and my state of mind.

Next up at the Parkway: Amythyst Kiah! The last time I saw her was with a full band, but tonight was an amazing surprise—a solo acoustic, folky, intimate-feeling show supporting her new album. I wasn’t sure she’d do Black Myself in a solo set but she did and yes, it still hits as an acoustic number!

First up tonight at the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis: Annie Mack and Mary Cutrufello! We have only seen them as an acoustic duo once before, years ago, so this short but blazing hot set was a treat we savored every second of!

A great week of music kicks off in just a couple hours. Pretty thrilled about these three lineups!
