For #writesky and #nanowrimo I'm sharing some prequel writing I'm doing for Rose and Noel my #indieanimation OCs! This short story is also before the main place I want to focus on for their narrative but sets a tone of their relationship even in their earlier days together #sizesky #sizesfw
Two black and white sketches. The first features a man in a lab coat seemingly growing and struggling to fit in the space he's in. The second sketch shows the man smiling while holding a woman in the palm of his hand. I felt it again. That strange flare up of flags in my processing. They’d been becoming more frequent lately, another reason to stay on top of my updates. Once within the confines of my room, I swiftly closed the door. It's a sparse space, though Noel has been continuing to encourage me to personalize it as I please. I’ve taken to hanging some of my favorite artillery on the walls. A few grenade launchers, a machete and a Xionian sickle for a touch of homey flair. Bonus: Easier access in the event of a home invasion scenario. In the center is my regeneration capsule, the Blue Rose pod. It takes up most of the space here. Noel thinks I might enjoy having a bed instead of a giant elegantly designed and near indestructible pod. I said I’d consider it. Though, I don’t understand how one could find it fun to lay unconscious and immobile on an unprotected slab of fluff. The rose’s petals shifted and re-arranged as I stepped forward, splitting a path towards the center. In the middle I could see the gleam of the metallic port lids. I stepped atop the metal covering and with a click the rose engulfed me in its petals. Within the soothing blue walls of the rose, I shifted from active consciousness to a more meditative state, bowing my head slightly. Cords emerged from the port, snaking their way along my spine and connecting into the base of my neck and inbetween my shoulder blades. The updates happened as normal. Though in my semi conscious state I could also hear Noel readying himself for the evening. Reluctantly. Showering, blowing out and straightening his hair, selecting something comfortable yet fashion forward enough for where they were going. It was all done with the joy of a chore. His steps were sluggish and punctuated periodically with an exasperated sigh or yawn, or muffled groan. That reminded me about my own selection of wear for the evening! The update provided some new options to assemble. I considered a few protobuilds of looks, based on the establishment’s dress code and region we were going, temperature and weather appropriateness, mobility within the outfit, likelihood of a potential attack or ambush, general style factor. With all things considered, I picked a flattering but very versatile blue one piece jumpsuit. Data showed a mild climate for the evening with a bit of a breeze coming from the Mediterranean. As for hair do’s I opted for something a bit longer than usual, a lifted curly pony tail. I even dared to go asymmetrical with the bangs. For the purpose of inconspicuity, I try to look as little as a synth as possible. This camouflage has worked wonders for catching hostiles off guard! As the last of the updates were set, and my parameters checked for the correct levels, Farah returned, knocking excitedly at the flat door. “It’s her.” I confirmed as the wires finally retracted from my body. “Thank you!” Noel called. His voice vibrated from his rapid footfalls down the stairs.

I didn't want to add further to the begging, but thanks to breaking a back tooth weeks ago, I'm now suffering. I can't eat anything on my left side without intense pain. I need to get this fixed ASAP or else suffer with the pain.

If you're a voice actor, I REALLY recommend taking singing lessons.

There's a lot of benefits. Breathing techniques, confidence, learning vocal warmups, singing roles, helps pitch, learning to care for your voice, learning how to avoid straining, etc.

And it's fun🗣️
