Oh and btw, the reasoning for 1 year mandatory military (civil) service is that "Russia could attack"... You know, that Russia that can't even deal with Ukraine in 3 years. The one that's running out of soldiers and gear and risks upsetting their entire population just to gain 2cm of land! SCARY!!!

And in the middle of all of this, despite a survey showing over 70% of Germans want a stop to weapon exports, the government responds by saying "We check case by case, we stop any NEW orders that could be used in Gaza." No, stop ALL of them, stop making money by genocide!

If the moral compass and basic empathy of German politicians is not enough to change their support for, and allyship with, Israel, how does international law not? Why should I follow your laws if you don't follow them yourself?

Context: Julia Klöckner claims the pride flag hanging on our Reichstag building would not be neutral as our constitution requires it. But her line of argument is inconsistent and just total bs. A flag representing equality should be allowed to hang there for a few days. What's the deal, lady...
