Just a guess, but I get the sense these guys lacked the physical, mental, and motivational stamina to be “operators” during the GWOT, so now they COSPLAY around America in “kit” to satisfy their internalized need to be the “sheep dog” they so desperately fancy themselves as.

The dilution of the podcast space by “the Bros” has been tough to observe. However, Lex Friedman’s attempt to interview President Zelenskyy has taken the medium to a new low. The arrogance, the simplistic worldview, and the naïveté he demonstrated felt an insult to people of Ukraine. Disappointing.
