It's the Pictorial Bible, from 1870s! Note the corners where the religious text has been cut out or covered over.
A weather copy of the 1875-ish tome The Pictorial Bible, with intricately embossed leather cover, and numerous religious messages in its four corners. The original Buffy the Vampire Slater VAMPYR prop, created from a copy of the Pictorial Bible. The places where the Christian religious messages have been cut out are visible in the corners, and the middle title section has been replaced with the word "Vampyr". The prop is otherwise known as The Slayer's Handbook.

So much of childhood education is streamlined, mythologized nonsense. And it's VERY hard to unlearn it.
