Still can’t believe what has transpired yesterday. Once again, we Pinoy Millennials have witnessed a turning point in Philippine history.

But what must take centerstage is not Duterte, but always, the bereaved ones, fellow Filipinos, who have gained a measure of justice.

I'll add to this: cars are comfortable and convenient for us, but they make walking, cycling and transit *less convenient* for everyone else!

Car use is contagious - more cars on the road means people are more likely to use cars in order to have any comfort or convenience at all.
Cars are comfortable and convenient, but car dependency that forces us to rely on cars for nearly all of our mobility needs reduces our life satisfaction.

We don’t need to eliminate cars from our lives, but making walking, cycling, and transit viable options for more trips will make us happier.
Short answer: Yes

"Using a car for over 50% of out-of-home activities lowers life satisfaction."

One of the best reasons to still be on Facebook is our lively community of Filipino urbanists, bike riders, public transport commuters, drivers (yes them too), pedestrians, YIMBYs, heritage advocates... You name it!

There's a deep sense of sadness and loneliness seeing this record shattering graph.

November 17, 2023 was the first day in recorded history when the earth's surface was a whole 2°C hotter than pre-industrial times. Yet, there's barely any chatter about this staggering breach.
