Always on the cusp of the latest & greatest, I picked up Madden ‘18 (PS4) in a Clearance bin at a used book store, primarily to play Longshot, the in-engine story mode co-written by a guy I had pizza with once. @adriantoddzuniga.bsky.social

It was great! If Madden was just this I’d be all over it.

Platner: I believe that input from working people is far more important than input from someone who simply has money. I believe that we shouldn’t be settling for crumbs while billionaires eat the cookie we baked.

Traitors being celebrated once again.
The Pentagon is restoring a portrait of Gen. Robert E. Lee, which includes a slave guiding the Confederate general’s horse in the background, to the West Point library three years after a congressionally mandated commission ordered it removed, officials said.

Sorry for the string of videos, but this is amazing and makes me wonder if this is what life could be like if we all just logged off the internet.

"For me, the answer now lies in refusal, the withdrawal of participation from systems that require dishonesty as the price of belonging."

Today I am resigning from the National Science Board and the Library of Congress Scholars Council.

I wrote about my decision in TIME.

HIVE MIND: what is the shittiest thing that someone powerful has said that basically aligns with “Greed is good”?

Elon, Thiel, Ellison, etc. have certainly spat vile that suits.

Asking for a novel draft.

January 6: my worst day as an American. But we’re a nation that can’t quit the loser Confederacy, so I guess enjoy their gaslighting?

Also I saw THE GIRL WITH THE NEEDLE last night and it was real, real upsetting.

People are out here re-litigating if It’s a Wonderful Life is any good (for the record it’s one of the best films ever made). We’re doomed, folks. DOOMED.
