¿Cómo predecir si un árbol va a morir tras el fuego? ¡A veces no está tan claro..! Hoy hemos estado haciendo algunas pruebas que serán seguro el principio de algo muy guay! Gracias al Cabildo de Tenerife y Dasotec por la visita y a nuestros colegas austriacos por la técnica!

In conifers, optical visualization of xylem embolism is limited to thin, peripheral xylem layers, and vulnerability thresholds may differ from those of thicker samples. Light transmission was decreased in dry xylem.

I’m no zoologist, but as an amphibian lover, these are extremely sad news and hopefully will boost conservation efforts!
