The problem with ADHD'ers using urgency/anxiety as our primary fuel to start shit is that there's a magical point after which more urgency/anxiety makes it LESS (often much less) likely that actually start.

The best part is: you usually can't tell which side of that point you're on

While a controversial topic, this is a great use for GPT if you're not sure about how to craft great alt text.
It's weird seeing so many cartoonists here not use alt text. Yeah, it might take a minute or two, but I guarantee they'd see engagement spike.
A lot of people only repost things that have alt text, so not using it instantly cuts off a significant amount of reposts. All to save a couple minutes.

I love this idea! I've been using ChatGPT to help me write the alt text to make sure it's useful to those who need it.
One of the first things I learned about BlueSky is how seriously users take accessibility for all, in particular, adding alt text to describe images.

You can adjust settings to require alt text before posting an image. Sure, it adds a little labor to posting but it helps others enjoy the platform.

Also, be sure to NOT just use them for e-books. Go in. Borrow physical copies. Don't let libraries get shut down because they're not valuable.
This is your reminder to get a library card. They have so many services and basically all of them are free.

At some point, people will need to realize being all-or-nothing on every issue won't get them the results they want to see. For one thing, it's impossible to please people who keep moving the goalposts. The "yeah, but what about..." is getting old. This is why we can't have nice things.

Let me clarify this: while I talk a lot about writing for authors with ADHD, the true focus is simplifying self publishing in a way that makes sense to neurodivergent minds. All are welcome, even those who are as neurotypical as they come.

As a neurodivergent manifestor, I love this Abraham Hicks quote.

It reminds me that while I have the capacity for great thinking, strategy, and contextualization…

Sometimes it’s okay to just feel the feeling and watch for what synchronicities it might bring.
