I’m not a posting/re-posting kind of person, so I wouldn’t recommend following me unless you’re dying to see my comments on other people’s posts. I’m here for baseball, basketball, urbanism, travel, tech, and my unfortunate addiction to current events.
What a hill to die on when the dollar figure for the ped/bike infrastructure represents 5% of the overall project estimate. Doubling car capacity means those tiny communities aren’t going to feel tiny for long, and then you’ll wish they gave more than just one lane for ped and bike infrastructure.

I commuted to Auraria from Westminster when I went to school at CU Denver. I went to UCD specifically because I wanted to experience city life in college. If I wanted convenient parking, I would have found a school in a suburb.

And by tip-toeing on policy based on drivers who are in their feels, they’re making the driver anger worse. When you build safe infrastructure with purpose and permanence, you eliminate a lot of confusion and avenues for people to argue.

Silver misheard feedback and thought everyone said the name is too long and boring, not the game

Nearly every ghoulish policy championed by today’s GOP can be traced to this guy’s administration, and you want to use him as an example of someone who served “our common humanity”? F all the way off!

They could design it differently so that each month represents a classic moment in history, rather than a current player

If it’s pure pedal assist, keep in mind that the average speed reached will likely be 15-ish if it caps at 20. Mine can assist up to 28, but it takes a decent amount of athletic effort to go above 20. It’s an e gravel bike. Makes a huge difference in perceived safety in riding with car traffic.

Who knows how well this strategy will work, but I’m just happy that it’s an actual coherent strategy, and not just word salad about players needing to play better.

While his personal politics are unknown, I’ve never so badly wanted to see the Cubs sign Alex Bregman. His dad is a well-known democratic DA in NM, so there would be hope we don’t have to see…whatever this is…if Shaw was booted.

Setting aside the obvious lies, the lack of logic in his statement would set all mainstream media front pages on fire if a Democrat said this “I just helped (insert demographic) because they’re starting to do really well” 😵‍💫💀

“Ya know, Sean, my house isn’t clean because immigrants have all the housecleaning jobs, yet they fail to show up to my house. Any word that I’m not actually signed up to pay an immigrant housekeeper for their services is fake news.” -as heard on Fox News, probably

working for fox news or the white house must be so easy. any failing can be blamed on immigrants. "sorry for the late reply, an immigrant had my gmail password." "need an extension on this assignment, an immigrant deleted my file." "sorry i didn't pay the bill. immigrants."
