No but it has lots of them!

If you look at large areas of London from roof height, you largely see trees, full of life.

I haven't seen a fox since I moved to Devon.

My tiny London garden was full of different birds, insects, amphibians, you name it.

P.s Devon has lots of non native trees too

I moved to Devon 6 years ago. There's less trees and probably wildlife than London where I'm from.

But the sunken lanes are a revelation. Forgotten wildlife corridors with hints of the old temperate rainforest.

The deep banks are covered with tunnels from mammals.

Sadly, these aren't protected.

I will never stop sharing this incredible talk by George Monbiot to the Dartmoor national parks authority.

It taught me to question everything I know about the British landscape and what we call "natural".

His early stuff was more empathetic.

Then came New Brighton which I didn't mind too much but after that, whilst accepting he's an important photographer, his approach made me feel uncomfortable.

I read this recently and it didn't indear me to him..

The American “is devoured with a passion for locomotion".

Which was terrible for the environment in a country that decimated its train infrastructure.

The US needs to invest in the cities where big companies left and make them liveable rather than force people to move away from support structures

Thank you.

I've just started to go through that list.

It's very helpful :)

Whilst not trying to be rude, I'm struggling to find good photographers on here. (Not including myself!)

There's loads on Meta + my feed is fantastic (which I don't want to be on), but not here.

Hope it's going to improve but don't think photographers are motivated politically so won't move here.

"only 9% of people working in the industry considered themselves working class."

What does this mean though?

I bet there are millions who went to a comprehensive, rent their property and could get evicted within months if they lost their job but think they're middle class..
