The deep Woodley Park Metro station has a devastatingly slow elevator. Oftentimes, you don’t know whether it’s best to wait, walk over a block and go down the escalator, or find a different way to get where you’re going.

We were the last civilians in the Lincoln Memorial before it was shut down for the Army Parade.

Looking at a map of Kiryas Joel, you can see the neighborhoods, while sprawly in nature, do have a pretty good number of multi family as well as bike/ped connections between culdesacs, which must be important for getting to shul without a car on Shabbat.

There’s also a lot more housing just offscreen to the down and right.
