The neighbors have begun weighing in and some have suggested that Loretta was no angel.

No joke I used to house sit a little budgie whose owner said he liked to listen to her read aloud to him, so I actually did spend a week reading Pynchon to an animal while he sat with me and listened, although it was Mason & Dixon.
A blue parakeet stands rapt at attention on my knee as I read aloud from Mason & Dixon by Thomas Pynchon.
