It’s true though! The right move is accelerationism! But come on Schumer will go to his grave never giving that a second thought.

PS: many of us would love for Trump to kill the filibuster (unstated: accelerationism will win next time, honest). Now imagine Schumer, in the twilight of his career, going “yeah let’s have Rs pass the worst shit imaginable and delete 170 years of law so that maybe someone good can fix it next”.

So in the end, this isn’t even a bad loss. It’s a totally normal one. But it pissed everyone off because it reinforced the extremely true idea that the cucks are in charge and clueless.
I feel bad for Schumer. He did his job very well for a long time. He just has no clue what it is anymore.

So the actual solution is to go back in time and do better win conditions. Like asking for the Epstein files, or an end to Kavanaugh stops. Tactically you could even wait for SCOTUS to block SNAP benefits and cave *then* so it’s their fucking problem. But this leadership can’t play on that level.

“Cuck” Schumer didn’t play the cave itself too badly and even got a couple of little mini wins. But his actual problem was playing into the cuck stereotype, plus the related issue that you can’t negotiate with these people and yet you do have to ask for stuff. He fucked that part up a month ago

So you have to…shut it down forever? And there are probably 25 votes for that. But the average caucus member is a million years old and decorum brained plus there are actual people being hurt here in the meantime. So you just kinda fizzle out and lose, which was easy to see all along

England is tied with Mississippi with London included, far below them without it, and on pace to fall below Poland in actual living standards. This is after being within striking distance of the US as recently as 20 years ago.
Having actually lived there ~recently, it's not just stats.

a)vibes based economic forecasting is a bane on both the left and right
b)americans are in fact doing -incredibly- better than, say, Europe
c)and our consumer goods based economy was also incredible (post tariff feasibility TBD)
d)but nobody can buy a house and brunch is 2 hours of wages. ergo,

I think that's debatable; Osborn in particular outperformed by 12, and if Platner were...less this, he'd probably get close to that
there's definitely a niche out there for Normal Guy but Leftishly, it just requires that Dems start from down 58-42 instead of 70-30, which isn't inconceivable

that's true; it needs to be something closer to Osborn or Platner, minus the tats, than Manchin
but it also doesn't need to be a party-wide rebrand

we do, and will continue to, have permanent rural area Ls and therefore Senate problems, but that's not exactly the same thing as needing more votes. we need a "rural Democrat" brand that works in a half dozen states, not a complete rethought of a coalition that's going to work far better going fwd
